Dr. Noah Sturcken
Chief Executive Officer / Founder

Noah is the instrumental driving force behind Ferric’s founding and integrated voltage regulator technology. Ferric is the continued work of his PhD. research project at Columbia University. He is the lead inventor and holds several patents for projects stemming from his work on integrated power conversion. He is also the lead author on five publications. Noah previously worked as a research intern for the AMD Research and Development Lab, and Analog Design team. Noah holds a PhD. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University, in addition to a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.


 

Prof. Kenneth Shepard
Technical Advisor & Chairman / Founder

In addition to his roles with Ferric, Ken is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. He previously served as a research staff member and manager at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Department in the VLSI Department. Ken also co-founded and served as CTO of CadMOS Design Technology, which was acquired by Cadence Design Systems in 2001. He then consulted for Cadence as a Senior Architect. Ken holds a PhD. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, in addition to a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.


 

Dr. Vivek Mohindra
Board Member

Vivek joined the Board of Directors in 2013. In addition to his responsibilities with Ferric, he is a partner at New Science Ventures. His previous experience includes senior positions with TPG Capital, Freescale Semiconductor, Dell, and McKinsey & Company. Vivek holds a B.E. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, in addition to an M.B.A. and PhD. in Chemical Engineering in Semiconductor Processing from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


 

Prof. Larry Pileggi
Board Member

Larry joined the Board of Directors in 2013. He is currently the Tanoto Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon specializing in modeling and design methodologies for CMOS and post-CMOS technologies. Larry holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, in addition to a M.S. and PhD. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.


 

Tom Deitrich
Board Member

Tom joined the Board of Directors in 2016. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Itron, Inc. His previous experience includes leadership positions at Freescale Semiconductor, Flextronics, Sony, Ericsson, and General Electric. He has extensive background in research and development, product management, supply chain management, and business development in several industries, such as telecommunications, automotive, consumer products, semiconductors, and networking equipment.
